ABOUT US
Western Mechanical, Inc. began as Leonard Shaunce Plumbing and Heating in 1958. It was purchased by James Desmond back in the early 1960's and remained Leonard Shaunce Plumbing and Heating until 1966 when he changed the name to Western Mechanical, Inc.
James brought his sons up in the trade, eventually working side-by-side with his oldest son, Michael, who graduated with his engineering degree from California Polytechnic State University. Over the years James stepped back, handing off daily business operations to his son. However, he returned every summer to help review and manage projects. This continued until he passed in 2007.
These days Western Mechanical, Inc is run by Mike Desmond with the help of his daughters, Maggy Desmond-Layral and Jessie Desmond. It is this sort of multi-generational commitment that makes Western Mechanical unique. We bring that same commitment and dedication to every project we work on.
PAST PROJECTS
Since 1958, Western Mechanical has given each project we have worked on the personalized attention it deserves. We strive to perform our work on schedule and within budget.
